OBJECTIVES

FLAME Objectives

The project FLAME aims to shape a critical mass of excellence in know-how about materials sciences and thereby establishment of capabilities for the diffusion and application of innovation in the Central European area. In particular, the project focuses on:

  • Strengthening international performance of the involved actors by increasing the mutual knowledge on existing competences in the participating regions.
  • Strengthening territorial cohesion by allowing regions that are currently lagging behind to access competences and business opportunities.
  • Fostering innovation processes and cooperation on different levels of administration, business support organisations, innovation and technology partners, SMEs and RTD units in order to use existing and new knowledge more efficiently.
  • Developing and implementing a new cooperation model: the so called transnational “future Laboratories”.
  • Intensifying the sustainability of project, and the transferability of efforts to a broader public in order to avoid “reinventing the wheel” in future activities of other actors.
